Dock ready?

Four controls before the first load moves
1

Control the vehicle

Use the approved restraint, parking and driver communication method for this dock.

2

Separate people

Keep the loading area clear of pedestrians and people not involved in the task.

3

Check the load and dock

Confirm stable ground, suitable equipment and that the load will not shift or fall.

4

Release on a clear signal

Keep the vehicle under control until loading ends and the responsible person confirms release.

STOP WORKIf the restraint, pedestrian route, equipment or load condition is uncertain, stop and ask the responsible supervisor.
Point to each control during the toolbox talk. Record any gap and who will close it.warehouseops.in

The diagram teaches the sequence; it is not a site layout or a substitute for a local risk assessment. Choose controls that match the dock, vehicle and equipment. For a full walkthrough, use the loading dock safety guide, the vehicle loading SOP and the dock safety learning journey.
